Improve LLM performance with emotional stimuli

Researchers found that LLMs’ performance can be enhanced using emotional stimuli in prompts. Amazing right? Who would have thought that a machine would react differently to emotions like humans do?

According to the research paper Large Language Models Understand and Can Be Enhanced by Emotional Stimuli from Cheng Li, Jindong Wang, Yixuan Zhang, Kaijie Zhu, Wenxin Hou, Jianxun Lian,
Fang Luo, Qiang Yang, Xing Xie LLMs have a grasp of emotional intelligence, and their performance can be improved with emotional prompts (which we call “EmotionPrompt” that combines the original prompt with emotional stimuli).
